Learning Trajectory
What type of AI learner are you?
Your relationship with AI evolves over time. Identify your current phase on the learning curve and what to focus on next.
Everyone's relationship with AI evolves, but not everyone progresses at the same rate. Schneider (2025) analyzed over 200,000 human-AI conversations and found a consistent pattern: users shift from structured, machine-like prompts toward conversational behaviors after their first few interactions. Some plateau early with a fixed set of workflows. Others continue experimenting and adapting.
The difference matters. Knoth et al. (2024) found that AI literacy directly predicts prompting strategy quality, and brief training interventions produce large effects (d=0.91). But training works best when it meets you where you are. Users in early exploration benefit from breadth. Those with established patterns need to break the "competency trap" of over-relying on what already works.
This tool maps where you are now and gives you research-grounded guidance on what to focus on next.
